Pitta Bread Pizza





Ingredients

Serves 1

  • 1 Ready made Pitta or Flatbread
  • ½ Tablespoon Tomato puree or Pizza toping sauce
  • ½ Teaspoon Mixed herbs
  • ½ Tomato, sliced
  • 1 Slice Salami or Ham
  • 25g Grated Cheese (about a 3cm cube)


Hints & Tips

Alternative toppings (all these can be used in place of the ham/salami either separately or in combination):

  • Sweet corn
  • Peppers
  • Tuna
  • Mushrooms
  • Pineapple
  • Chorizo sausage

Method

  1. Heat the grill or switch the oven on to 200C.
  2. Spread tomato puree or pizza topping on top of the pitta
  3. Sprinkle with herbs
  4. Lay the tomato slices on top
  5. Add a slice of salami or ham
  6. Add cheeses and grill until the cheeses is golden or bubbling, or bake for around 10 minutes
  7. Serve
