Recipe Exchange has been created out of a love for food and support for local communities, a passion to get you to try cooking something and to help people to have fun.
I've been involved with Pop Up cooking in Ellesmere Port for four years. We show people how to use ingredients and taste the recipes we make. Everyone tries what we make and we frequently convert people to liking food that they said they hated or had never tried. Due to Covid, this isn't possible at the moment, so I thought we would try to reach you this way.
Recipe exchange only has tried and tested recipes, so the chance of them not working out is pretty small. All the recipes are easy to understand but if you get stuck, please let us know and we will try and help.
All of the ingredients used are easy to find in your local shop or supermarket and are reasonably priced. No recipes include alcohol so they are suitable for everyone.
Hopefully, this will encourage people to try and make recipes, and to show how homemade food is so much tastier in most cases than packet mixes, jars or frozen ready meals.
Recipe Exchange is meant to be used by everyone as a way of sharing recipes and giving knowledge to a wider community.
All of the recipes can be printed from a phone so they can be given to people. Hopefully it's a way to make sure everyone gives a recipe a go.
Please let me know what you think of the recipes and add your own, but please don't copy them out of recipe books.
Looking forward to seeing how you get on.
p.s. If you want to share photos of your efforts on this site you can post them to your Instagram account using #recipeexchange 1 and they will show up here.
