- 200g pasta (eg macaroni, farfelle, etc.)
- 300ml milk
- 25g flour
- 25g butter or margarine
- 100g grated cheese
- Salt and pepper
1. Cook the pasta in pan of boiling water with a pinch of salt for
10-12 minutes until tender.
2. Grate cheese.
3. To make the cheese sauce; put milk, butter, flour and a sprinkle of salt and pepper into a saucepan. Bring to the boil on medium heat, stirring with a wooden spoon or whisking all the time. Then simmer gently until thickened.
4. Remove sauce from the heat and stir in the cheese, saving a little for the top.
5 Drain the pasta using a colander or sieve.
6 Mix the cooked pasta into the sauce.
7 Sprinkle with the remaining cheese.
