Great snack for the lunchbox



Ingredients

250g Porridge Oats (not instant)

125g Butter

125g light brown sugar

2-3 tbsp golden syrup (depends how gooey you want it - the more you add the gooier it will be

golden syrup (depends how gooey you want it - the more you add the gooier it will be but too much and it wont set, too little and its brick hard

add 50g dried fruit to the recipe to give a different flavour

Crumble 2tbsp Christmas pudding to add to the mix

 

Method

Heat oven to 200 c/180c fan/gas 6

Cut the butter into small chunks

Put ingredients in a bowl and mix together thoroughly

20 x 20 baking tray - cut the grease proof paper so that there is enough to come up all sides of the tray. put a bit of fat on the tray so the greaseproof paper stays in place, put the grease proof paper into the tray, cut a line from each of the corners into the tray so that the paper sits inside the tray.

Put the mix in the tray

Bake for 15 mins until golden brown

Cut it into small pieces while still warm

Will make 12 large pieces or a lot more smaller pieces
